STRATOS® is a 2.5D printed surface finish that creates a bas-relief–like effect through a bespoke digital printing process. The technology adds tactile depth to rigid substrates such as particleboard, MDF, MFC, MFM, PVC and aluminium composite panels. As a digital process, it does not require costly tooling or minimum order quantities.

A wide range of textures can be reproduced, including wood, stone and customised graphic or illustrative motifs. The printed surface can be finished with a transparent, water-based lacquer in either a matt or gloss appearance. STRATOS® can be applied to flat, rigid substrates with a thickness of up to 45 mm and a maximum width of 3,200 mm.

The process uses solvent-free inks, avoiding the environmental impact associated with the disposal of solvent-based alternatives.
